Brewpub

We opened the doors to our brewpub on 13th June 2019, with the aim to create a beating heart at the centre of our business. A place for us to engage and interact with the people who drink our beer, and shorten the distance between production and glass. Our Brewpub was crowdfunded, with 1500 people investing in our small company. We are incredibly proud to be the custodians of a site that has over 250 years of brewing history within its walls.

Games at the Brewpub

Fancy a game of darts or pool?

Our top floor has you covered. We have a games room on the top floor of the Brewpub, complete with a dedicated bar, where you can while away the hours playing pool or darts and not have to tire yourself out going up and down the stairs to get your drinks.

Opening from 5pm Monday to Friday and midday to midnight Saturday and Sunday, why not come down and sharpen your game?

Book a brewery tour

Brewery tours are back!

One of our knowledgeable staff will take you on a tour through the brewery and show you how we do things here at the Brewpub and share some of the history of the building before taking you upstairs and leading you on a guided tasting of a flight of our beers.

Tour time will be around approx 30 minutes. Followed by a 30 minute tasting.

Max number of attendees per tour is 12 people.

Sessions run at the following times:

Wednesdays 19:00 - 20:30 + Saturdays 12:30 - 14:00

1. Where is Left Handed Giant Brewpub located?
We are located in Finzels Reach, a vibrant area of Bristol, England.

2. Are children allowed in the brewpub?
Yes, children are welcome in our brewpub until 20:00. However, they must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

3. Do you have baby changing facilities?
Yes, this is located in the accessible toilet on the ground floor. If it is not open please ask a member of staff for access.

4. Is your brewpub pet-friendly?
Yes! Your furry friends are encouraged.

5. Are you wheelchair friendly?
Yes! We have a step free access route via Counter slip along with a ground floor accessible toilet and customer lift to reach the upper floors

6. Are you an LGBTQ+ safe space?
Absolutely. We welcome everyone to our brewpub and want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe at all times. We have our ‘Have Fun, Drink Beer, Be Nice’ policy clearly displayed across our venue.

7. Do you take reservations?
No. We operate on a walk-in basis and do not take reservations of any size.

8. Do you take cash?
No. We are a cashless venue for the safety of our staff.

9. What types of beer do you offer?
We specialise in craft beer and offer a wide range of options, including hop-forward ales, lagers, stouts, sour beers, and more. Our selection is constantly changing, so there's always something new to try!

10. Can I purchase beer to take away?
Absolutely! We have all the latest and greatest LHG beers you can purchase in cans or bottles to enjoy at home.

11. Do you serve food?
Yes, we offer a delicious food menu to complement our beer selection. From tasty bar snacks to hearty pizzas from the fine folk at Pizza Is Lovely, we have something for every appetite.

12. Is there parking available nearby?
There are very limited parking spaces in the Finzels Reach area. We recommend using public transportation or alternative modes of transport, such as walking or cycling, to reach our brewpub.

13. Do you have any gluten-free or vegan beer options?
Yes! Most of our beers are vegan friendly and we always have at least one GF option on the taps and more in the fridges.
